- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips or half a white chocolate bar chopped
- 22 golden Oreo cookies 16 whole cookies, 6 roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, or lightly grease and flour the pan.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, egg yolk and vanilla, stir until combined.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate, medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until completely combined. Stir in the white chocolate chips and crushed oreos.
- Assemble: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Firmly press 16 Oreo cookies in an even layer over the batter.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool before cutting and serving. These bars are especially delicious when served slightly warm.
