Description

Celebrate the holidays with these stunning Nutella Biscoff Snowflake Pastries! Buttery, flaky puff pastry filled with gooey Nutella and spiced Biscoff spread, twisted into a snowflake design and dusted with powdered sugar. Easy to make, shareable, and irresistibly festive—perfect for parties or cozy family gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 sheets (typically 10×15 inches), thawed according to package instructions
  • 1/2 cup Nutella or any hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff spread, smooth or chunky, I used smooth
  • 1 large egg yolk, used for egg wash
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface (or on the parchment the pastry came in), roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a ~10 inch square. Use a large plate, or anything that is 10 inches, as a guide to cut out a 10 inch circle in each pastry sheet. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s better to use a guide that is larger than sheet so there is less waste! You should have 2 layers of circles for each snowflake pastry.
  3. Place the first pastry circle onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread Nutella evenly over the first pastry circle using a spoon or offset spatula, leaving a 1/2 inch margin.
  4. Spread the Biscoff spread evenly over the second pastry circle using a spoon or offset spatula, leaving a 1/2 inch margin.
  5. Using the parchment paper, line up the circles and flip the Biscoff pastry circle onto the Nutella pastry circle that should already be on the baking sheet. Gently press down to make sure the circles are securely stuck together.
  6. Place a small bowl (about 2-inch diameter) in the center of the top pastry layer to help guide your cuts.
  7. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut 16 even slices from the edge of the bowl towards the outer edge of the pastry circle. These cuts will form the “spikes” of the snowflake.
  8. Take one slice and twist it clockwise twice. Take the adjacent slice to the right and twist it counterclockwise twice.
  9. Gently pinch the tail ends of the twisted slices together to form pointed “spikes.” Continue this twisting and pinching process with each pair of slices until all 16 slices are shaped into 8 distinct spikes.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolk until smooth. Using a pastry brush, brush the egg yolk wash evenly over the entire surface of each snowflake pastry. This will give them a beautiful golden-brown sheen when baked.
  11. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  12. Cool on the sheet. Once cooled, you can dust the pastries with powdered sugar.
