Are you ready to try something deliciously different? Our Espresso Blondies recipe is just the thing for anyone who loves the rich flavor of coffee combined with the sweet, chewy delight of blondies. Yes, we’re making Espresso Blondies today, and they’re going to be a game-changer!

What makes espresso blondies so special?

These blondies are not just your average treat. The addition of espresso powder infuses them with a deep, rich coffee flavour that perfectly complements the sweetness of brown sugar and white chocolate chips. The result? A decadent, moist, and chewy dessert with an coffee kick!

Key ingredients and techniques

  • Espresso Powder: We’re using instant espresso powder to give these blondies their coffee flavor. If you’re a coffee lover, feel free to bump up the amount from 2 teaspoons to 3 for an extra punch.
  • Brown Sugar: It adds a deep, caramel-like sweetness, making the blondies moist and flavorful.
  • White Chocolate Chips: These add a sweet, creamy contrast to the deep flavors of the espresso and brown sugar.

Common questions

Can I use regular coffee powder instead of espresso? Yes, but the flavor won’t be as intense. Espresso powder is more concentrated and gives a richer coffee taste.

What if I don’t have white chocolate chips? You can use milk or dark chocolate chips, or even nuts for a different texture.

Can I make these gluten-free? Absolutely! Just substitute the all-purpose flour with your favorite gluten-free blend.

Baking the perfect espresso blondies

Combining Ingredients: Start by melting the butter and mixing it with brown sugar. This creates a rich base for your blondies.

Adding Coffee: Mix in the eggs, vanilla, and espresso powder. This is where your blondies start to take on their coffee flavour.

Getting the Texture Right: Stir in the flour, cornstarch (for softness), baking powder, and salt. Cornstarch is our secret ingredient to keep the blondies tender.

So, there you have it – a treat that’s sure to impress at any gathering or just as a special snack for yourself. Happy baking! ☕🍪🤎
